Beyond the Real Life could be described as a LARPM (Live Action Role Playing Movie) set in the World of Warcraft universe. It is some sort of sequel to "The Edge of Real Life", a 4-minute film parody of World of Warcraft where live actors perform various actions imitating characters from the game or the game mechanics. You can see this movie in the Videos section on this site. Edge of Real Life, as the title suggests, tried to give an insight on how the real life of WoW fanatics might look like - thus being on the edge between game and reality. Beyond the Real Life is a parody / comedy that takes the basics of it's predecessor as a foundation for a story driven movie. As it's title suggests, it goes even farther and tries to blend the two worlds even more. There are no set rules for how exactly the two worlds blend together, and the "blend depth" varies from scene to scene. There are shots taken completely in real life, there are mixed real life shots with characters or items from the game, there are scenes filmed ingame and mixed with live actors, and so on. The same set of "non-rules" apply for actions of the characters, players, or the functionality of "game" mechanic, meaning for example that the characters sometimes use their abilities as they would do in-game, and sometimes not. Viewer's open mind is advised.
